Kuler is Kool
Not too long ago, I was at a presentation by an Adobe employee named Rick Miller who was discussing Adobe’s latest ventures. One of the things that he showed us was Adobe’s Kuler webpage. It can be accessed by visiting kuler.adobe.com. Kuler is a community of color enthusiests who use the tools provided to author color schemes. Once someone creates one of these color schemes, the website allows other users to view and rate the projects. The best ones get displayed on the front page.
My favorite part of Kuler is that if you see a combination that you like, you can click on it and see the color for each of the colors, or even download them as a color palette for use in any of the Adobe Creative Suite products. This is all free.
I have found the service to be particularly useful when creating advertisements, logos, and entire documents. I even used one of their color schemes for the spring edition of Progressive Impressions.
